Thomas H. Clutinger

Thomas H. Clutinger, Co-founder of Clutinger, Williams & Verhoye, Inc. in 1970. 

He served as President of the firm from inception through 2006 and is currently an Officer and Director.  He has over 50 years of experience in managing client portfolios to achieve their financial objectives through the many bull and bear market cycles he has experienced.   

Thomas graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics Degree in 1963, as well as a Master of Science in Economics & Finance Degree in 1968 from San Diego State University. Thomas also served as a Past President to the Chartered Financial Analyst Society of San Diego from 1979 – 1980. 

Thomas enjoys living with his wife of over 50 years in Durango, CO and loves the beauty and ever changing seasons of the mountains. 


Scott B. Williams

Scott B. Williams, CFA, CFP joined Clutinger, Williams & Verhoye, Inc. in February of 1995. 

He was named President of the firm in June of 2006. He has over 30 years of experience in the financial services industry successfully helping clients reach their long term goals.   

Scott graduated from San Diego State University in May of 1987, earning his Bachelors of Science Degree in Finance. His post graduate education includes receiving his Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation in July of 1994 and earning his Charted Financial Analyst Designation (CFA) in September of 1998. He continues to maintain his Continuing Education to retain his credentials.   

Besides his passion for helping clients navigate the financial markets, Scott has spent many years volunteering as a coach in local girls’ softball organizations.    


Kent E. Stone

Kent Stone joined Clutinger, Williams & Verhoye, Inc., in 2008. Before joining Clutinger, Williams & Verhoye, Inc., he was the Chief Executive Officer and President of Stone Asset Management Group. 

He began his career in the investment industry in 1987, and through the years he has helped clients in navigating the ups and downs of the markets.    

Over the years, Kent has devoted much of his free time to doing charity work. He has served as an officer on several Boards, as well as being the chairman of philanthropic projects.   

Kent graduated from the University of California, Berkeley in 1986.

Tom M. Clutinger

Tom M. Clutinger, CPFA joined Clutinger, Williams & Verhoye, Inc . in 2010. 

He is a Principal, Officer and Director of Clutinger, Williams & Verhoye.  Before joining Clutinger, Williams & Verhoye, Inc., he was Chief Executive Officer of Inspired Sciences, Inc.   

Tom has over 25 years of experience working to grow Start-ups and Small Business to the next levels of success, and understands the unique challenges of the small business owner. Tom graduated from Brooks Institute, earning a Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1988. 

Tom is focusing his passion and knowledge of small business owners to help them manage and navigate the intricacies and opportunities of the providing Employer Sponsored Retirement & Profit Sharing Plans within their companies.  

Beyond his passion for mentoring business owners, Tom enjoys living near Durango, CO and loves the active outdoor lifestyle of the mountains.
